Software Engineer · Educator · Mountain Bike Coach
I’m a computer scientist, teacher, mountain biker, and builder who likes figuring out how things work, and then finding a better way to make them work.
My background spans software engineering, systems thinking, mathematics and physics educating, and high-level mountain biking coaching. I’ve taught and mentored students while traveling the world, built software and AI systems, and spent more time than I can count on the bike.
For the past two years I ran an unconventional classrooms out of eight different countries, teaching mathematics and physics by day and coaching downhill mountain biking by afternoon, work I kept up through a stretch of cancer treatment that taught me a lot about staying calm, solving the problem in front of me, and taking care of the people around me.
I care most about making complicated things simple, useful, and human.— Will Malfeld
